Driving Lyndsey's dream
June 7, 2012
Following on from the success of International Food Day, The Cobra Group Foundation contacted Lyndsey and her family with an invitation to host a charity golf day with all the proceeds going to help with her lifelong wish to travel to Vietnam.
This dream of Lyndsey's now means so much more to her after she was recently given the news that her brain tumour had resurfaced and may have as little as three months to live at the terribly young age of twenty-seven.
On June 1, 2012, the Foundation played host to a charity golf day at Wychwood, near Crew. Participants enjoyed a brunch on arrival, a practice session on the driving range and an eighteen hole game followed by an evening dinner, all while helping towards Lyndsey's dream trip.
Lyndsey's family and friends, along with a number of Cobra Group delegates took part in the successful fundraising event, raising, to date, over £2,000 towards Lyndsey's Vietnam adventure.
