CRS hopes for Chinese cracker
November 8, 2011
After more than 150 races in four years, the CRS Racing team is in China this week to compete in the Six Hours of Zhuhai.
The team recently announced it was ceasing its race operations to concentrate on building the new McLaren MP4-12C GT3 car so Zhuhai will be CRS's swansong.
The driving crew of Pierre Ehret, Roger Wills and Tim Mullen will be doing all they can to make sure that CRS goes out with a bang - of champagne corks, hopefully.
"It seems incredible that we are coming up to the seventh and last race of the ILMC season, but I'm very much looking forward to my first race in China," said Wills. "We have come so close to some great results this season with only one podium at Silverstone (UK), so it would be nice to end the season on a high with a podium. It would also be a great last race for CRS who are moving to focus on building the McLaren MP4-12C. Obviously it is not a circuit I know but I've been on the simulator so hopefully that will help and it will be very fresh in my mind. Let's hope we can end the season with a strong result."
Mullen agreed, adding: "It's always good to go to a track that you don't get to race on very often. It helps to mix things up a bit. Having been with CRS from day one I would love to help them go out on a high."
Marketing is an ever-changing part of any business, and what worked a few years ago may be completely irrelevant today. So, if you’re going to continue to strive for success, be prepared to assess your marketing strategy and adapt accordingly. In saying that, there are some marketing activities that continue to be an effective and measurable way to promote a brand or business, and direct marketing is one of them. In this blog, Appco Australia highlights the unique benefits of direct marketing and how it can get your business closer to your customers.
At Appco Australia, we love it when others succeed and we believe the best business and career ideas stem from passion. In light of Tesla recently winning the South Australian energy storage project (with a bold proposition), we’ve used Elon Musk’s motto of “when something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favour” as inspiration for our tips for getting lift-off when your next eureka moment strikes.
Emily Seebohm has finally broken Australia’s drought, winning the country’s first gold medal at the 17th FINA World Championships in Budapest. Appco Australia believes her win is a lesson for anyone striving to succeed in or out of the pool.
At Appco Australia, we have a true appreciation for other businesses that reach their full potential. It’s a great way to stay motivated and also learn from other’s success. The story of all-Aussie gourmet muesli business, Carmen’s, reminds us of a common misconception we can all learn from.
There are so many things around us that we take for granted, but make our lives easier. So, in celebration of all things innovative, team members at Appco Australia were asked: “What recent invention has changed your life and why?” Looking at the responses, it seems there's a common mobile-related theme here.
