Appco Group tee off for good cause

Appco Group NZ has been applauded for its support of the 2011 KFC Grilled Anita Boon Pro-Am. Appco Group NZ donated $NZ1000 to sponsor a hole in the tournament.
Enthusiastic amateur golfers from around New Zealand joined Australia's and New Zealand's best professional female golfers for the Pro-Am on November 3-4, 2011.
The annual Pro-Am celebrates the life of Anita Boon, a vivacious 36-year-old professional golfer who passed away in September 2009 with ovarian cancer. This hugely popular event allows amateur golfers to play alongside New Zealand's professional women golfers - this year the event was extended to two days allowing a mixed field to test their skills against the professionals.
The Board of the New Zealand Professional Golfers Charitable Trust has thanked Appco Group NZ for its generosity.
"We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Appco for your support of this year's 2011 KFC Grilled Anita Boon Pro-Am," the trust said.
"We had a tremendous response from sponsors and supporters and are pleased to announce that together we raised $10,000 for Anita's chosen charity - The New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation."
